Discussion Challenge Program

This year, I was conditionally accepted to Mines. I have to participate in the Challenge program over the summer from June 6th to July 8th and I have to take Calculus and Chemistry over that time period. For those who have don’t it before, what should I expect?

I did it a while back. I thought it was easy because I had a lot prior experience with the subjects, please don’t stress too much about it.

How was the work/free time ratio for you? I’m familiar with chemistry but the highest maths classes I took during highschool were AP Precalc and Honors Alg 2 so I don’t know if that’s gonna affect how painful these mines courses are gonna be lol.

I think I was spending around 2-3 hours max on the program’s school work. The only reason why they most likely conditionally accepted me was because I took Chem 1, Calc 1 & 2, and physics 1 out of state dual enrolling. They were hesitant about transferring the credits.

You should be fine, and of course any prior knowledge would help you tremendously.
