Things to do with kids this weekend
Hi all
We’re staying in East Wittering this weekend with our two kids - 6 and 10.
I was looking at Chichester Marina and saw you can rent App bikes - has anyone done this and know if there are kids bikes too? And if it’s a good place to visit for a couple of hours?
If anyone has any other kid friendly activities or places to visit I’d be keen to hear.
Aside from the beach, we have Arundel Castle and a stroll around Chichester on the list too.

There is also a wildlife and wetlands centre in Arundel which is nice for a wander around, a bit further up the same road there is also a pub right on the river called The Black Rabbit, it gets really busy when the weather is good though. You also used to be able to hire boats in Arundel to explore the river at your own leisure, not sure if they’re still running though.
If you fancy a nice meal then you could check out The Pig in the South Downs at Madehurst.
There is a watersports centre and inflatable water park at Shopwyke lakes on the east side of Chichester, they have wakeboarding, paddle boards, kayaks etc as well as the inflatables.

If you're looking for cheaper options, there are two fantastic RSPB reserves nearby, Medmerry and Pagham Harbour. They are free entry (Pagham has a small car parking fee) and offer some lovely walks and stunning views . The Visitor Centre at Sidlesham also has a bunch of nest cameras active at the minute, which are great fun for the kids to watch whilst mum and dad take 5 minutes with a coffee 😂

Traffic will be hell going into wittering, I'd recommend leaving plenty of time/ setting off early. The Beach club at Bracklesham is lovely for refreshments and watching the sea. They often have live music Saturday between 6.30-8.30 I think
