Casual Ireland Ticket Master 🎫 Concert ticket prices

Maybe i’ve been living under a rock the last few years but is €90 a pretty standard amount for a concert ticket these days? Was looking into Patti Smith tickets and they are €95 each! Seems pretty steep, can’t imagine she’d have much of a stage production going on!

90 Euro cheap these days tbh.

She has a band. And there nothing much in 3Arena less than €80 when fees are included these days. For whatever it's worth, I've never regretted seeing her. And I've seen her a number of times.

Never regretted it either. But for now for me a to high price for seeing a repeat of the Kilmainham 'Horses' 40th anniversary concert.

I avoid the 3Arena like the plague so I'm not going myself.

Yes agree dissapointing venue. Always have the feeling I'm in a shopping mall. Lots of folks moving around and always talking while bands are playing. Do they even come for the concert. I'm thinking the free corporate/ sponsor tickets have a lot to do with it.

Depends on the scene you're into. I go to concerts every couple of weeks and would consider €40 expensive. Mostly metalcore, hardcore or other alternative types of shows in the Academy, Whelan's, The Grand Social, Workman's Club etc.

3arena shows and bigger unfortunately yeah, €90 would be standard enough. Planning to buy a Metallica ticket next Friday (my friend is going and I love the opening band, Knocked Loose) and it'll be the most expensive concert ticket I've ever bought by far (excluding festivals).

Yep we paid over 90 for rammstein last year, and they have a huge production. But only paid 28 for to see my favourite band at the moment Rivers of Nihill in March just gone.

Would love to see Gojira with Metallica and Metallica the last of the big legacy bands i haven't seen live, but the tickets are dropping right as the funds are low for that stuff cos I'm flying out for a week abroad tomorrow. Sickened.

Paid €43 for the Viagra Boys in the Olympia 2 weeks ago. That Gig was unreal. Best one in years and for 43 these days it made it even sweeter.

Like that Sebastian always throws in his Irish ancestry and wonder if the Bog Body was born on a beer mat in Gravediggers.

Wait til you see the prices for a beer when you're in the door.

Absolute gougers.

Gave up going to live gigs. As a musician that is a hard thing to do. I just can’t justify the costs. I will scrimp and go hungry to see a favourite band but they only come to Ireland every 12 years or so.

Heading the Saw Doctors in a few weeks. Think the tickets were €55 each.

Paid I think it came out at 275 for Elton John in the three arena a few years ago but that was the last chance to see him live.

I think 90 is about were it's at for any well known acts these days. With the availability of thousands upon thousands of songs for a tenner a month on streaming services I guess the money has to be made up from somewhere in else.

Don’t forget the added fees from ticket master which will bring you over the €100 mark! 3Arena js usually €70-90 for the cheaper seats.

They played vicar street only a year or so ago and it was 60e a ticket. 90e is about standard for the 3arena.

I have a ticket to sell for 06/10 in Dublin. It was €95,80 but I'd sell for €70. Let me know if you're interested.

To be honest I don't think €100 is that expensive when most people download music for free. The artists have to make money somehow.Â
