Feedback Wanted cover for a dark paranormal romance
Playing around with cover ideas for a gothic, dark paranormal romance set in the Appalachian mountains. I rather like the cover, but don't know if it signals the genre.

Well, make a list of all the things on the cover, then assess if any of them signal paranormal romance. Short list: trees, snow, clouds. None of those signal anything. The closest is the tagline "she was the thing that stayed anyways." so, she's... permafrost or something. Is it a riddle? She's like a spirit thing or the incarnation of a concept? Are they both abstract concepts incarnate? If not, then you can make it much simpler... "He was winter, she stayed anyway." or if he's not literally "He was of the winter... she stayed anyway." That said, is this tagline spoiling something that you'd actually like to have tension about in the story... her decision to stay? Then it should be "He was winter... she could never remain."
