This reply, especially after seeing that they comment using other people’s user names, is too funny for me for no reason 😂

Still working on my early draft but definitely saving this for future reference. Would 100% grab any of these from the shelf.

Incredible! The type blending will the illustrations, the use of negative space, the breadth of aesthetics... I'm taking notes!

Genuinely curious, are all of these 100% out of your head or has a client ever handed you a mockup of what they had in mind that you improved upon. These are really good by the way.

Thanks BlackStarCorona, the imagery is of course inspired by the book (which I try to take to a more symbolic, non literal level) or sometimes a general idea the client has. Some authors have specific ideas, but most of these covers are based off basic foundations that have often developed through discussion.

I’m not ready yet but am going to need a book cover. Once you’re hired by a client, what’s that process look like? They give you an overview of the story, themes, etc to varying levels of detail and Y’all go from there? Have you also done illustrations for the books, for example several Stephen king books would have an illustration every 100 pages or so.

Absolutely amazing portfolio. Are all of these hand illustrated?

Thank you. Yes all done by me, except for the base artwork for THE RAZOR DARKNESS OF A STARLESS NIGHT.

Oh my fucking goodness. I want to buy all of them as art pieces. Your talent is talenting!!

Is it possible to turn one of the options into the other at a later date? For instance, if one were to commission an eBook cover and everything that goes with that, can that later be expanded to print? I’m still in the editing phase so don’t have a page number or a back blurb finalized yet but would love some cover art to begin hyping it all up.
