Dude. I’d cut it into thirds. Give it the relief it wants. The grains seem to be all oriented in the sane way also. Can’t tell. Old eyes. 👀

Anyway, cut to thirds. Jointer if needed and introduce two gaps. You can make it look intentional imho.

I’ve definitely seen this technique in Sweden with some old farm tables.
