29M | BUET Grad, PhD Student in the US | Atheist | Looking for Long-Term Compatibility

Age, Gender, Height, Complexion:
29, Male, 5’8”, dark brown skin complexion

Preferred Age Range:
23–29

Location and Relocation:
Currently based in New York, USA. I plan to remain in the US long-term.

Nationality:
Bangladeshi. Born and raised in Dhaka.

Marital Status:
Never married

Education / Career:
I completed my Bachelors from BUET and am currently pursuing a PhD in a STEM field at an American university. After graduation, I plan to work in the same field.

About Me:
I am somewhat introverted by nature, but I open up around people I feel comfortable with and respect. I enjoy films, books, and thoughtful conversations about art, philosophy, politics, science, and society in general. I value clear communication, honesty, emotional maturity, and intellectual curiosity in a relationship.

Important Characteristics I Am Looking For:
I would be most compatible with someone who:

  1. Values education and has strong academic or intellectual aspirations
  2. Believes clear communication is essential for a healthy relationship
  3. Is intellectually curious and enjoys thinking about big-picture questions
  4. Enjoys art, film, literature, or similar cultural interests, and likes discussing them

Religiosity:
I am an atheist. I believe this is important to state clearly because compatibility on worldview and values matters in marriage.

Do You Want Kids?
Yes, in the future.

Ideal Marriage Timeline:
Ideally, I am thinking of a timeline of 2+ years, around the time I expect to complete my PhD. I am making this post early because I believe real compatibility is something that becomes clear through long-term interaction, not just through a short biodata or self-description. I would like to get to know someone properly over time before making a serious commitment, and I would appreciate someone who values the same approach.

Preferred Method of Contact:
DM on Reddit

I know this isn't a group to discuss religion, but I'd like to know what made you an atheist.

I'd be happy to discuss that in DMs, if you want.

Tawhidi Janatas started attacking him for his skin color after knowing he is an atheist.

So why do you want a woman 6yrs younger than you? To control? At 23 no girl would be financially independent in this country. Pretty clear signs of financial abuse setup here. Why not over 29?
