New here Maternity training shorts/bottoms that aren't just tight biker shorts?

I am actively weight training during pregnancy. I feel like the only maternity shorts for exercising are the biker shorts ones. i don't really want that region of my body on blast at the gym. I would like shorts that have a liner that are biker shorts underneath like a regular looking pair of shorts.

what is everyone wearing to the gym? squat proof

I like the lulu Hotty Hot shorts while pregnant (hate them when not pregnant). They have a brief liner. I wear the low rise ones below the bump.

Beyond yoga has a good maternity skort, too.

I found all maternity workout shorts / pants awful tbh. I rotated w/ my first, and have brought back for #2, the hotty hot short, lulu’s align leggings, and lulu’s align biker shorts. All below the bump. Other low rise elastic waist shorts in a size up might work well for you. Good luck and happy shorts hunting!

Neither of these are maternity. I’ve been bloated since 4w and quickly gained a couple inches around my hips and also do not like displaying my figure much right now so I’ve been searching for the same thing for months.

Lululemon Nulu And Mesh shorts. Very limited selection right now (only black and brown) but I don’t feel like I have to wear a long shirt with them. Still in my normal size at 14w and I feel these should continue fitting for a while since it’s essentially align shorts under mesh. Not sure how delicate the mesh is.

There’s also some CRZ yoga shorts on Amazon (“drapey 2 in 1 athletic shorts for women”) that are essentially a legging under an opaque athletic material liner that I bought one size up (I could probably still wear my normal size for now, the legging liner is generous). These are affordable and I bought a couple of pairs.

I found a pair of regular shorts at Mark’s that had a soft waist band, I just rolled them down (remember this trend from elementary school 90’s girls 😅) to have them under the bump and wore a long maternity tank top under my t shirt so my stomach was fully covered! Worked great.
