Phillips, Dean, and Reed are pretty rough losses for the one side of the team that looked elite last year. You can justify Dean with having Campbell already and Dean being injured a lot, and Phillips was an overpay by Carolina, but Reed is a bit tougher to replace as the best guy on the team currently would be Coop, but then slot corner becomes an issue.

We have one safety now and I would have enjoyed keeping Reed but he was limited athletically but was excellent at reading the game.

Reed was good. Never a pro bowler in 4 years. Never considered among the top safeties in the league. They’re gonna resign Epps. Then draft someone and maybe a 1 year deacon someone cheap. Reed is beloved but not all that.

Ravens fans are being dramatic af. We didn’t get fucked either.

Idk man. Ravens lost two of their best players in their punter and center, and they overpaid for a player who is incredible - but almost 30. In my opinion they got absolutely fleeced in that trade he was not worth two firsts

LMFAO šŸ˜‚

and they overpaid for a player who is incredible

That’s arguable, I’d say it was a win win. No one got fleeced. But that was a trade. Not free agency

You’re on crack if you think overpaying for a decent punter and above average center (not even gonna touch the fact you think they were two of our best players) would have been smarter moves than two firsts for Crosby

Other than lamar and henry obviously. You had the literal best punter in the league and a top 10 center. You wouldnt consider players of that caliber to be two of your best players? You guys are weak in several positions on both sides of the ball. And two firsts for an edge that isnt miles garret just seems like a stretch to me idk. No need to be defensive I’m not hating - just calling it how I see it

Best punter in the league is a stretch. He was mediocre his first few years and great last year. Classic for the ravens tbh. Player is OK for a couple years, balls out in final year of contract, then gets overpaid elsewhere and underperforms. Time will tell.

Top 10 for Lindy is fair. I said he’s above average. But the raiders still overpaid him.

just seems like a stretch to me idk

That’s a very different take than ā€œravens got absolutely fleecedā€ lol. You also say he’s incredible but almost 30, so not worth 2 firsts, then imply Garrett is worth 2 firsts but he’ll be 31 before next season is over. I’m not trying to say Crosby is the same as Garrett, but it seems like age isn’t actually your factor here, and the ravens got the best edge rusher on the market. No player that was available at 14 in this year’s draft or (hopefully) late 20s-to-32 of next year’s draft will produce like he can.

I’m not defensive. Just laughing at your completely wild takes. Call it how you see it all you want šŸ˜‚

I would say my original points are far from ā€œwildā€ lol. Two firsts is pretty damn aggressive for one player regardless of the context. And like I said you guys needed those two firsts because you need help on the offensive line and your wide receiver room. I cant think of any of your DTs off the top of my head either. Also, why the hell did you guys pick mark andrews over Isiah likely?

Your original point was irrelevant because that wasn’t free agency. And when it includes that Lindy and stout (LOL) were two of our best players, yea that’s pretty wild

Pass rush was a huge hole and caused a lot of problems on defense in general. You’re right we need OL help, but we also needed edge help. WR less so. Not saying our WRs are elite, but it wasn’t our problem last year.

Madabuike is an elite DT and it’s looking like he’ll be healthy next year, and Travis jones played a huge role in our defense. Just because you don’t pay attention to the team doesn’t mean every position group you can’t name is trash

Tried to sign Likely last year, he wanted out.

Congrats bird bro. Ravens got blessed by a failed physical

So do you think we’ve won free agency now? šŸ˜‚

Middle of the first round in a draft without much top end talent and hopefully next year is basically a 2nd rounder. I'm not used to trading high picks, but this might actually work out.

Nah comp pick game has been good for both teams in the past.
