Is anyone in the BMET Program?

Just wanted to ask how this program’s job opportunities and job schedule stack up to the other bcit diplomas like medical radiography.

What’s the salary like? Is the job part time like travel nursing or…

Interested in this too. I’m already in the fall semester. A friend of mine who is a nurse at VGH says it’s a good career and told me to pursue it. At hospitals you mainly fix hospital equipment, and there is less patient interaction compared to the other healthcare jobs, which is more up my alley.

Job prospects are probably worse than nursing and other technologist positions though, and I heard the program is extremely tough on you. Salary I believe is around $37 starting from the union agreement I saw, which is comparable to other health technologists.
