Hi everyone,

I would like to have some help about how I can shade the plum blossoms petels, the branches and the leaves. I use HIMI gouache as my main medium. Additionally, I would like to have advice on making finer details of the plum blossoms as well.

The reference I was inspired is Yu Zhi, the swallows in the plum blossoms although the colours are different from the leaves to the plum blossoms for personal preferences. It's on the 3rd slide. 🌸

I really hope I can finish my painting so that I can gift my parents as a gift for them to hang up on the wall😁

If you're using guache you should water it down and just keep layering it with a darker color until you are satisfied.
