This is lovely, to my eyes you might want to play around with visual hierarchy and simplification. For your next piece think about where you want the eye to sit, and then play around with tone, mark variation, and simplification to help guide the viewer.
For example in this piece the marks for all the palm leaves are the same, but you may consider playing with simplifying them on the outside sections of the piece, and varying the marks of the palm leaves a bit more where they are in the focal point.
One thing is in the ref, the palms make a little window to the other side of the water. You might think about playing around with making that a focal point by bringing in detail, and then see if it works. Not sure it it will work in the context of this piece but it’s worth playing with.
But keep it up, you have a lot of potential showing through in this piece. I really like the light and shade contrast.
