In My Shopping Cart Choosing Lodge Pant Color

Hi! I think I'm finally gonna cave and get my first pair of Lodge pants (crepette) during the sale. I wanted to get people's opinions on which color you would recommend most as your first pair, if you could only choose one. Which color do you guys reach for most?
I think I'm between black, rich mocha brown, and dark night navy. For reference, I have a lot of black tops in my wardrobe, and I want to be able to dress the pants up. I know black pants are always useful in my wardrobe, but I already own other black pants and don't really have navy or brown, so I'm considering branching out. Ideally I want to be able to style these year round. Thanks!

Do you pair it with black at all? Or is the dark navy too close to black that it looks off

I wouldn’t personally pair black with navy.

I do and they do it on the app.

I got Folio Brown. It’s a neutral toned brown IRL (stock photos make it look more yellow). Since most of my tops are white, black, or navy, I figured brown would give it more interest than monochromatic (but that can look good too).

I second the Folio Brown, it’s such a good versatile color.

Sadly that color is out of stock in my size right now :(

Oh thats too bad. They do periodic restock if there are returns. Just have to keep refreshing. Also, seems like it’s under “core collection” so might be permanent. If not, they do come out with similar neutral-ish browns pretty often but call it various things like cola taupe, turner taupe, etc.

I just bought folio brown as my first pair! Glad to hear that it matches a lot of your neutral tops

Ohh the lodge pants are a must have! I got them last summer in black and nomad taupe and I loved them. I felt both of those colors covered majority of outfits. I got them in cola taupe in the fall and I just purchased in admiral and martini olive during this sale. They are a great versatile pant.

I usually only wear black pants so I branched out and bought cola taupe as my second Lodge pair.

I'm with you on only wearing black pants. I'm trying my best to branch out

I’m considering the birch or martini olive in linen!

I have them in the dark night navy and wear them on repeat. Such a good neutral with black, white, or any other colour

Well if you have lot of black colour tops then mocha would be more visible different colour then admiral navy blue. I have lodge in black bcz I literally have no black tops.

Personally i found black tops goes really well with white/cream too! But they kinda clash with dark navy/brown because they are really dark and close to black but not quite. So i’d consider light color too.

I would consider the light birch color but my problem is I hate when pockets show through the pants 😭 And I heard that color has some issues with being see through

Yes I tried the taupe but I really hated the pocket lines!

Ah yes. I bought the nomad taupe for this reason lol it is neutral enough to go with most outfits, and look amazing paired with black, brown, blue tops, but not too light that it shows pockets lining!

I have navy and olive green and love them so much! I bought the regal navy vest to match but I don’t hate black with it either

Is admiral or dark navy more versatile?

I have all 3 colors and if it's your first one, I'd go with black. It'll be easy to pair with all the other black tops you own and it's nice to have a different type of black pants (it's very comfy) and I love how it's wrinkle free. The dark knight navy is very dark, almost off-black. If you want to go navy, I'd go with admiral instead of dark knight navy, as that's a more true navy color.

I’d get the rich mocha brown

Those are exactly the three colors of Lodge Pants I own purchased in November/December last year and according to my wardrobe tracker, I've worn the black pair 24 times, rich mocha brown 22 times, and dark night navy 21 times. I do find the dark night navy is quite dark in-person and I sometimes need to lay it next to the black pair to properly identify them. They're all great and clearly I don't have a frontrunner, but I do think the brown tends to be more versatile for me and allow for more color combinations!
