Media MK3.. my beloved!
Crawled for 10 minutes after being clipped by a Bastion and Firely and just made it.
To the two raiders who helped heal me on the way but died to a swarm of Wasps, Hornets and a Firefly, thank you 🫡

I lost mine yesterday to a guy who pretended to be friendly and helped us kill another aggressive raider, then shot me and someone else in the back.
Really need to find the blueprint for it!

MK3 crawl extracts hit different when you actually make it out with that sliver of health, those teammate heals probably saved your run.

I miss mine dearly. Two expressions in a row I got lucky and found the BP fairly early. I swear since launch I’ve healed and/or defibbed dozens but not a soul has reciprocated 😔.

Me and a guy yesterday were stuck in that circle part of blue gate for about 15 minutes while someone looked for a defib. Then he got shot by a bastion. So me and the guy were talking for about another 5 minutes, a guy came up and stared at us for 20 seconds, then blasted us. There was 4 minutes left and I hope he didn’t make it out

I am so Jelly! I am exclusively PvE and got the 2 from the quest... One got burnt on my first run by an asshole that gamed his way back into PvE lobbies and the other after a few days by a fucking shredder that phased through a wall. I've been running around every storm (electro magnetic or otherwise) to try and find the BP. It's amazing (and TBH kinda OP)

The other user is being an abrasive ass, but I will say it is a bit of skill issue if you aren't bringing a barricade with you when you will be floating around Bastions, Riven Tides especially is a barricade map.

Aight, but the barricade doesn't deploy fast enough if you weren't already expecting to do that. And if you were expecting that (e.g. already had the barricade out), why were you planning on losing almost or more than half your hp to a Bastion who's gonna chew through your barricade in record time anyway? I'm asking for real too, I'm not just being rhetorical

It's pretty sharp, I would say that in most instances you should be able to deploy it, you should at least have it as your selected gadget when around Bastions so again I would say a skill issue if you aren't taking proper precautions. The Bastion isn't an insta-kill, you can sustain damage for a solid 3 seconds with a medium shield so enough time to deploy the barricade.
You just should be so blindsided by a Bastion though, they are slow moving, predictable and their alert stages are loud.
And if you were expecting that (e.g. already had the barricade out),
Well the idea first and foremost of the barricade is to break line of sight, you need to think outside of the box a little more there and see it more as a sort of mobile hiding spot rather than a wall to tank damage, which it will also do.
Bastion who's gonna chew through your barricade in record time anyway?
This line makes me wonder how much you have actually used the barricade, I've tanked aggro from Matriarch with a barricade and only needed to replace it once the entire fight, and I can say from experience the Bastion does not melt the barricade. Barricade has more than enough HP to withstand a Bastions aggro until you can break one of its legs and light up its core with a Bettina.

I haven't used the barricade much, cuz ig I have a skill issue with it. I'm much better at just staying close to terrain cover and using that, and carrying more offense\heals.
I don't often get blindsided by most (read: MOST lol) ARC, but I engaged this comment chain in defense of those who do, because I know not everyone has headphones as good as mine, nor situational awareness, and I've been the dumbass that's walked right in front of the chain gun on legs

Terrain is preferable obviously, and if you are looking to fight bigger Arc players should absolutely look to see what terrain they can use. Barricade is good for maps like Blue Gate and Riven Tides where terrain isn't always readily available, or even if you just need to search containers in the open like carriers and probes.
Typically I run the Tactical MK3 Healing so I have about 3 slots spare for gadgets, which I normally fill with a stack of ziplines, barricades and then either a grenade or a snap hook depending on the map, but everyone will have their own preferences there.

Which is fair, and hopefully some people who might see these comments might consider taking a barricade to help them sneak around the arc and using it as a mobile hiding spot and not just strictly as a means to block damage.

You are playing beta version of the game. The version that requires no skill at all. Thats why it attracts you, to feel that you are good at something, which is a lie. A toddler can play in carebear and wont die to a slow ass moving bastion 😅😅😅

Actually, I'm not a "carebear," and quite frankly don't appreciate the term, same with "rat" for being childish not-slurs thrown around to try and make people feel bad about playing a game. I will shoot you if you shoot me, I'm just cooperative first.
I've fought ARC, and if a Bastion catches any one of us with no cover, we're fucked. End of, no skill difference to talk about

I was actually fighting under the dock using the pillars as cover. A Comet was coming which I took out which then drew a Firefly underneath the dock with me, I did a dodge roll from pillar to pillar and that is when the Bastion clipped me.
Its just how the game goes.

Sometimes stuff happens that means you have to run outside of cover, and if at that moment a bastion spots you it's just unlucky.
