Discussion Dabbled with some PvP and I get it now
40 year old casual dad gamer that has been pretty strictly in PvE lobbies (which I love) for most of my in game time.
Drank some tequila tonight and thought I might be fun to PvP a bit. Oh man was I right!
I think most of fun was due to the mixed lobbies I was in and the uncertainty that can come with it.
Shot a bunch of people, confused a lot of people, got shot by a bunch of people. I was sitting in my chair laughing my ass off at it all.
At 1 point in stella I arrived in the main corridor by assembly with the motion sensor lights to 4 people crawling around with another 5 standing around asking who shot who. After some small talk and pleasantries I threw a showstopper at the group and ran away and everyone started shooting each other. Many flares popped, and I swung back around and cleaned up the mess.
Some other hilarious similar situations were had.
Anyway, life your best Arc Raider life and fuck the haters.
Also, don't be racist, holy shit there are a lot of racist people on prox chat.

I quite enjoying heading into Stella with a ferro or a hairpin. I’ll head to the lobby and take a shot or two at a large group. You can literally join the hunting party that are looking or you. It’s hilarious.

This is the fun part. Unfortunately, if you try keep doing that for a bit and are decent enough to kill more people than being killed, it will not take long until you are in super sweaty pvp lobbies where you will be cheated on constantly.

I don't think the care bear crowd realizes how much they have to shoot people to get into sweat lobbies. It is far from instant.

That's the real end game. Trying to travel between mixed/suspicious lobbies for fun, to cooperative lobbies for resources and trials, back to mixed lobbies, all while never being aggressive enough to go to cheater town in the full pvp zone

Duo. Trios are too hard to keep people at same temperament because that requires their solos prep to be as aggressive as eachother.
Duos are the most balanced since solos fuck you when you end up in rat or cheater lobbies because carebear is easier getting into solo.

Mixed lobbies are the best imo. If you're not careful you end up in full pvp lobbies though.

But yeah its fun. It's a completely different game than the PVE Carebear fest and 100x better. I got the game when it first came out and really only did PVE solo, I quit after 3 weeks. Some coworkers bought the game and wanted to play together so I picked it back up after the Stella update and we mainly just PVP. Have about 400hrs in the game now.
Just becareful because PVP lobbies are where the hackers live.

I am the same way! Did PVE for months. Have been PVPing for weeks now.
I did end up in very sweaty PVP lobbies and those are no joke. I do like the mixed ones slightly more, where it is a bit more ambiguous.
