Your spot on! For me the endgame after you get all your benches built and everything set up is to go and actually play the game. Go topside, help folks out, kill ARC and and goof off!
You know it’s like end game is when you get to actually be a raider and immerse yourself in the world

Is there a way to survive that kind of fall with any combination of the descender, crash pad, ledge grabbing, and grapple?
I think a grapple alone could work if you could hit something and fall into free space for the full length of it, but that wasn't available in that particular situation

Only possibility in my mind would be trying to stop the fall with a snaphook on a super tall building, like the spaceport launch towers. Other than that I don't think there's any way to break the fall from the stratosphere 😅

Afaik ledge grabbing saves you from any height?

I think I've seen people say that after a certain point when falling, you aren't able to grab ledges any more.
I haven't confirmed it myself though

From my expirience you can but you're falling so fast the game will not register it fast enough most of the time so I wouldn't rely on it.

you used to able to by stacking noisemakers on the side of probes but they patched that 😭

Yeah, I have all the upgrades and blueprints, and am not interested in the expedition, so lately I have been making my own fun. I like playing "bait raiders into killing me".
-Load in with an empty gun and point it at people and tell them to drop their loot (usually they just kill me)
-Stalk people around the map, not saying anything.
-Load in with a hullcracker and shoot it at people
Or the classic just building forts at extract with barricades, flags, etc.

every time i see the Descender, i wish a little more they brought in those Jet Boots from the early concept.
i know, I know people will cry and bitch about turning it into fortnite. but i just want to make a raider into the oldschool 80s Rocketeer, or Boba fett, blastin through the air shootin arc, the snaphook is badass I love Bein Batman, though no cosmetic sets fully do it justice, but jet boots would be dope.
