It was refreshing that they admitted it for once.

lol I’m so glad that laughing monologue was the last thing that dumb ass white knight heard

Had a dude shoot me in the back during a matriarch fight in a friendly lobby. I got defibbed and a mini crew formed to find him as others also got shot, he joined the crew! Right at the end as we're extracting, with seconds left he drops the Ferro and says 'it was me', played it so well I wasn't even mad! :)

I went to white knight a guy that got downed and accidentally shot one of the guys also going to save him (there were three). I was sitting there apologizing because I thought he was the guy that killed the other guy. Could they hear the apology though? No. They were all too busy screaming at each other "WHY IS EVERYONE BEING A RAT IN THIS GAME, OH MY GOD" and just shot me too accusing me of being a rat etc

Bro, tell me he had an accent from another country. If so, he did a similar thing on a Stella match, but I was the one who defib'd the guy he downed before we all went looking for him. Lol

I was just about to say the same thing. Rats are the same as terrible people that don't return their shopping carts to the cart return corrals.

2

u/PatrickG1991 9h ago

Damn, thise are the real life rats. The same people who think the whole store belongs to them, leaving no space for others. Love their astonished and surpriced faces when I shove their cart aside to get through. Literally zero going on in that dome of theirs

You new? They've always done this.

what do you mean by they are now , that d*ck tactic was always used in the game :)

u/BOOGIE_MAN-X 16h ago edited 16h ago

It works 60% of the time, everytime

-6

u/PacosTacos88 16h ago

Why is there a smiley face at the end of this?

2

u/MAR__MAKAROV 10h ago

it takes nothing to smile , so smile for good luck :)

u/ElegantAnything11 16h ago

game has prox chat, game will have social trickery.

19

u/BOOGIE_MAN-X 16h ago

It’s pretty glorious. If I’m shooting first or second hoping on the mic and yelling “OMG! A Rat! Why are you ratting?!” Makes all the Arc Police show up and back you up if they are close by 😂

3

u/DMercenary 15h ago

I've seen it used to great effect with people going "Omg Im down" or "There's a rat here." Only to lure would be rescuers into an ambush.

u/mnemy 11h ago

And 4th party, and 5th party, etc. That's the problem with pvp in arc. Noise and arc alerts just put a big ole target on your location.

In other pvp extract shooters like Tarkov, you can kit up, be a lot more tanky, and have guns that are very quiet so you can kill and get out.

The more you pay on your loadout, the higher chance at survival (except the cheaters seeing the juice and taking you out).

In arc, it's the opposite. You come in kitted, you make a shit ton of noise (even with silencer because raider flare still rings the dinner bell), then the downed rat still yells this guy's got a bobcat or whatever to bring all the vultures at you even though you won the exchange.

That's not fun to me. I'm not good enough to survive most of the time kitted but 2v14.

Social deduction should be added to the steam tags tbh.

Part of my fun is getting groups in solos to turn on each other.

7

u/Tight-Entertainer948 16h ago

Bro I love in sus lobbies when a group forms and you know the time is coming and something like a arc will distract people or they bunch up and someone throws a grenade then everyone jumps on the opportunity and it turns to a blood bath

2

u/ElegantAnything11 15h ago

Yeah without the social aspect I wouldn't keep playing.

15

u/splinter1545 16h ago

I mean the only reason this happens is because of this community trying to be morally superior when it comes to PvP. Otherwise no one would care if someone downed another person, just means that another player can third party.

9

u/Famous_Fix_3545 16h ago

Sooo good how the Rat mocked the dude at the end. Really full circled it 😂

3

u/better_Tomorrow1718 16h ago

Lol, this isn’t new at all

10

u/CarryMeNerd 16h ago

u must be new

3

u/ReasonableOutage 15h ago

the thing people keep missing is that false accusations only work because the community still treats them like they carry weight. ive watched squads fall apart because someone confidently yelled rat and everyone just believed it without actually watching what happened. the game gives you all the tools to verify stuff, voice comms proximity chat all of it, but we collectively decided to just panic and shoot first. it's not really a rat problem its a trust problem that we created by rewarding the loudest voice in the moment instead of the person who actually has footage or witnesses.

4

u/DraculasDog 16h ago

I’ll be honest, I just like shooting people in this game.

2

u/kingpin748 15h ago

To be fair, I'm not a rat and the time I caused multiple knocks with a deadline I started blaming others.

It worked.

2

u/boomboomown 12h ago

That's not what ratting is 🙄

3

u/Mefromafar 16h ago

That’s funny as f. It’s a literal PVP game bro, “ridiculous”. SMH.

2

u/SouthernSkin1255 16h ago

They have always done that shit sjsjsja, before the expedition they always walk around naked hitting people to confuse the players xdddd

2

u/Aussie_Butt 15h ago

If people overuse the word, why not use it against them?

1

u/TrickAlps 15h ago

And it works pretty well specially on Stella montis

2

u/swass-print 16h ago

I do that all the time it's hilarious when it works

1

u/TrickAlps 15h ago

A white knight saved me like that I was telling him he was a hero and doing a great job he was so happy lmao while I was the real rat

1

u/FOMO_Gains 15h ago

Average rescue raider.

1

u/nobundt 15h ago

Happened to me plenty of times

1

u/Bobaaganoosh 14h ago

Had a guy trying to rat me and 2 other guys on harvester at the lakes on damn this morning. I saw his name in comms. Guy kept doing fake callouts that he wasn’t even apart of. Like if you didn’t see it, you’d have actually heard him and thought he was contributing to the fight. He wasn’t. And I knew what he was doing. I went out, confronted him and downed him with a volcano. He immediately goes “who the fuck brings a VOLCANO to the harvester!?” I said “someone who’s fucking prepared mother fucker.” He starts yelling out in comms “raaaaaat! Rat! We got a rat! He’s here! Rattttttttt!”. The two guys who he tried to initially kill with me show up, and he doesn’t realize it’s them. And he thinks he can get them to kill me. They roll up and i finished him off. I could hear him talking shit.

Literally less than 2 min later, an ACTUAL rat shows up and downs me and those two guys. lol

1

u/-Lysergian 14h ago

Rats ALWAYS falsely accuse, anything to save their own ass.

1

u/kanabis420 12h ago

Now? Lol I been using this tactic for months

1

u/PetitePrincess-23 11h ago

Man that third person peeking looks so broken. Your gun is literally barely around the edge, body in full cover and its registering... level of real that seems annoying to play against. Its why rogue company got so boring to me, everyone just did this.

1

u/IWASBANNEDTHE1STTIME 10h ago

So the rats have now evolved into trolls

1

u/Pheasant_Plucker84 8h ago

I really do understand this game. Probably is a massive skill issue. Whenever someone opens fire on me first, I die before I can even react to return fire. If I start shooting first, I can empty a whole clip on them and they just shoot back and a I die. I genuinely do not know how this happens.

1

u/Coilspun 8h ago

I'll just leave my cover and try to shoot someone who has some... that'll work...

Oh no. Now I'm dead.

1

u/ImUrFrand 6h ago

i've seen it happen on stella, made sure the rat didnt get up.

1

u/JuiceZA 6h ago

What's ironically hilarious about this strategy is that the rats finally realize that they are, in fact, rats, and they need a backup plan.

1

u/Rip_Rogers 2h ago

This has been a thing since forever

1

u/OrangeBagOffNuts 2h ago

People need to mind their own business

1

u/onceforgoton 16h ago

WESCU WAIDAHS

1

u/Apprehensive_Road764 16h ago

According to the rats they are not the problem everyone else is just a crybaby

-1

u/noturaveragesenpaii 17h ago

Making fun of the other raider for maximum rattiness

Sad, sad individual.

5

u/SixthSacrifice 16h ago

Nah, the dude deserved that. Running in to do a rescue and shooting first, with no context on what happened, not giving a chance to deaggro, not trying to figure it out, and getting downed?

The rat sucks, the rescuer sucks more.

And I favor rescuers.

2

u/Tight-Entertainer948 16h ago

But also how do we even know it was a rescue the guy didn’t say anything and it kinda seems like he shot him first chance he could

2

u/SixthSacrifice 16h ago

Some folks just no-mic.

1

u/TrickAlps 15h ago

Thats his problem because if I see a downed raider calling the other one a rat and the other one dont speak and hiding behind a wall Im definitely consider the other one as a rat

Most of the rat dont have mic

2

u/MattOverMind 13h ago

I feel like sometimes you just have to take the "knock them both and let Toledo sort them out" approach. Then again, I'm not a self-appointed knight. I'm going to make my raid as safe as possible, and if I can't tell which one is the rat, then both are the rat.

2

u/SixthSacrifice 12h ago

"Everyone crawls", if you're close to extract. Everyone's lootable, otherwise.

It's tragic, but it's the only way to be safe and it's more fair than picking wrong.

1

u/noturaveragesenpaii 16h ago

I think you missed my point

2

u/SixthSacrifice 16h ago

I didn't.

The rat's reaction wasn't ratty, there, it was deserved.

0

u/Crafty-Unit4061 16h ago

Nah lying on voice chat allways was a thing... I remember being bored so me and my friend joined to help 2 team fighting each other. I joined 1 team and he the other. This was one of the most hilarious fights i ever seen. Of course both team got wiped down and were not happy with us laughing out asses off...

0

u/Tamagotchi41 16h ago

I had this happen to me on Dam. I was dealing with a Rockateer and started getting shot, I returned fire. I then heard them calling out saying I was the rat and I shot them. I ended up getting surrounded by 2 other duos and gunned down

-11

u/DanFlashes19 16h ago edited 16h ago

Guess what, there are no rules topside.

Winning at all costs, whether that means being cooperative and friendly or killing other raiders, is just a part of the game. Lying about who shot first is fine.

Does it suck that you got killed? Yeah. Is it annoying that he lied? Yeah maybe. Is this something worth clipping and whining about online? No.

I genuinely think some of you don’t have the emotional capacity to play this game.

9

u/Capnleonidas 16h ago

OP didn’t die he killed the rat and the white rescue knight. Did you watch the video?

3

u/DanFlashes19 16h ago

I did watch the video but had a brain fart when writing my comment. Point still stands.

7

u/half-giant 16h ago

Bro really wrote a whole paragraph without watching the video first 💀

5

u/soldins 16h ago

Either you're confused about who was talking in the clip, or you lack the attention span to finish watching a 36 second long video.

2

u/A9MM 16h ago

should’ve put subway surfers in the corner

-3

u/drgut101 16h ago

THIS JUST IN:

The game is now being played by people that hate the game. This is a developing story. More at 9.

-6

u/apimpnamedyabba 16h ago

What a fucking looser

1

u/TrickAlps 15h ago

Its really not that deep

2

u/apimpnamedyabba 14h ago

This everything to me, I’d die bout this shit

-2

u/joeyretrotv 16h ago

Rats are the loudest losers.
