I'm confused why I didn't at least get an invite to apply considering I did get Provost and had very good stats. Hopefully they haven't sent them all out yet and we both still have a chance

I think we do. You definitely have a better chance than me lol bc you got provost. Although I’m guessing they send some presidents invites to distinguished, because the median SAT is a 1500 invited to interview. And they have 60 interview invites. So there’s a good amount below 1500, and I have not seen anyone below a 1500 get provost. I think people in the 1400-1490 range got distinguished. And I’ve seen some low 1500 scorers get distinguished as well.

I got distinguished with a 1460 but am updating with a 34 ACT. Doubt it’ll do much though.

Do you think there is any chance that these emails are coming out individually where not everyone would receive them on the same day? I know some people got the Hunt email yesterday whereas we got it today.

Hmm maybe?? There are more people that got the President’s essays email according to ZeeMee. I hope you’re right though

For the people that got Hunt a day before us, did they get the additional essays/President’s Scholars the next day?

I got my PS email yesterday it turns out. I found out that the email sent to me was through the SMU email service so that is why I didn't receive it. It's unlikely that they all went out at the same time so hopefully your invite will be arriving soon!

did they send you these prompts? Scholarship recipients are expected to give back to the SMU community. If awarded an additional scholarship at SMU, how will you contribute to the academic and intellectual life of the SMU community? Please provide specific examples. And What are the top 3 programs and resources at SMU that will help you academically? ?
