intl: got accepted to pitzer! but i dont think i will be able to attend since they asked for 4k dollars a year and i am poor :(

Congratulations! Is that 4k for tuition or for everything? (Room, board, tuition, etc). I see you're an international applicant, which affects your ability to work off campus during your first year (I believe), so I'd check what jobs Pitzer offers on campus, because 4k a year is easily doable with a part time job (although that plus living expenses might be hard). There are many who are more qualified to explain all this, but don't give up just because of cost! I'm sure there's a way

Thanks! I applied for a full-ride scholarship and received 76k dollars financial aid, but they wanted the rest (4k) lol. The admission officer that accepted me told me that they almost never give full-ride finaid to international students and that I was one of the exceptions because they were super impressed with my application and just couldn't reject me. I don't know what can I do, though. My mom makes 9k dollars a year :(

See if they would offer you work-study, if you do enough hours doing that you could definitely make 4k/year and use it to pay your tuition.
