How do I catch a char?

I know it’s near a waterfall but I’m not really sure what that means. Is it near the waterfall fall at the beginning of the river? Is it at the waterfall at the end of the river that leads to the ocean?

an easy trick for "waterfall" fish, on the top part of the waterfall, cast your rod just at the edge and let it fall down, then wait and see if a fish bites. sometimes the shadows are obscured by the waterfall effect

Near the water fall is basically bottom of the water fall on the beach or bottom of the water fall at the start of the river

I got mine from where you are in the first picture, by casting over the cliff and into the waterfall. Sometimes they hide under the splashes. Just keep checking and one will turn up eventually

I had to wait until there was no fish at the top of the beach waterfall, then cast my line from the cliff and caught a char in the waterfall at the bottom
