Question Og new leaf vs welcome amiiibo

Hello, im currently on an original new leaf.3ds that updated to the welcome amiibo update on my moded 3ds. Im trying to make space because i wanted to put in a game that needs 2.7gb when i have 2.3gb left. I noticed that the base animal crossing new leaf plus the dlc update on my 3ds adds up as bigger than a file of the new leaf welcome amiibo. My question is, will transferring my save file from my current new leaf that updated to welcome amiibo to the newer and smaller sized in total welcome amiibo version have any issue? Or will the newer new leaf welcome amiibo require an update upon download that makes it the same size as the old new leaf plus update?

Only issue i can think of is that New Leaf og and Welcome Amiibo have different title ids

Simple fix is to just use a computer to move your backup from the New Leaf checkpoint folder to Welcome Amiibo folder

That's what i was thinking and what made me skeptical. Will moving the backup save file work?

Just realised, because you garden file (basically the part of your save that holds all your town data) wont be in an updated state, it wont work

Im trying to think of other methods so you'll have to give me a bit

I just imported my save through my pc then used checkpoint and everything worked out. Nothing seemed to break and i continued to play on it
