Question Getting the game very soon, what should I know as a new player?

I just checked amazon and it should be here either today or tomorrow

Do the tutorial with Isabelle. Just ask her in town hall for advice for living in town and do everything she asks. You will be rewarded with a watering can and non-native fruit.

I just got it and the guy who sold it to me forgot to wipe his save😭 I'm kinda curious tho

You can wipe your save by hitting A, B, X, and Y as you load the game!

if you wanna plan your layout for villager's houses, i place green paths literally everywhere to force spawns! it takes time but it's nice for planning!

Oh thanks! I'll Deffinetly do that once I can find the right layout (like it's genuinely been hours and I'm still not satisfied🥲)

keep resetting until you get an island that you like, specifically just the rivers, oceans, shops, and town hall location! i'm pro time travel just until i get the houses placed where i like (you can keep time travelling to collect the villagers you want too), but then i'm anti time travel once i get everything placed!

I just started a couple weeks ago after spending countless hours playing New Horizons.

Things to know:

  1. look up a guide on hope to get the face and hair you want! I had no idea this was a thing until after I was too far in to want to reset the game again. While on the train, your answers decide on your characters features and you can't change them (except for hair eventually).

  2. Reset until you get the town layout you want. Took me like 7 tries.

  3. If you're like me and coming from NH, it's definitely a different game and vibe. But in a great way!
    You have less storage, you cannot place furniture outside, and you don't get access to all the tools for a while. Like, I just got a slingshot yesterday. Lol just watched balloons float past me for weeks.

  4. Pin/bookmark a good guide for random game specific things.
