What does her being bald have to do with anything? Is Helen known for her hair?

Then what am I trying to do? I haven’t read the Odyssey maybe her having long luscious hair is a big part of it idk. But you know my motives better than I do I guess, so I’d like to know

I dunno. But trying to understand is clearly not what you’re doing.

Sounds like you don’t even know what you’re doing

that’s only because subtext and critical thinking is difficult for you. I know what I’m doing. I’m dismissing your bullshit.

Lol I thought you said you didn't know what I was doing? But the thing that you don't know is bullshit? That thing being, asking if Helen's hair is important or highlighted in a book that I haven't read. Idk who you're mad at dude, but it isn't me.

You're being purposefully disengenous so I respond and then you can call me a racist.

I would’ve said I think mentioning that she’s bald is irrelevant and dumb if it has nothing to do with the source material because if it didn’t then that’s more about your personal opinion of beauty. But her description in the story might emphasize that she has long or luscious hair in which case, yeah okay I could understand thinking the actor should too. I don’t know because I haven’t read the Odyssey, so I asked. If you had said yeah she’s supposed to have long hair I would’ve said something like, ok thanks I didn’t know.

Ancient Greek Mythology whiteness was associated with attractiveness and status, as those of darker skin spent more time outside "laboring".

it's an ancient culture, argue against their ideals all you want but this is simply a political motivation for race swapping Helen of Troy. It's dumb, it's counter to the story. I'll just not watch it 🤷
