Question ⁉️ Only 2 days in Amsterdam: How would you spend them?
I’ll be in Amsterdam and Arnhem this weekend. I arrive on Thursday evening at around 9:30 PM, will spend all day Friday in Amsterdam, Saturday in Arnhem, and Sunday in Amsterdam again until the evening.
My main question is: since I only have two days in Amsterdam, what are the absolute must-see places? Is there a route or itinerary that would make sense and include the best food spots, sightseeing attractions, fashion stores, and coffee shops?
I’d also love to get similar recommendations for Arnhem for Saturday.
How would you approach this trip if you were visiting Amsterdam for the first time? I’ve never been there before and would like to make the most of my time. I’d appreciate any suggestions on the best way to organize everything, what I should pay attention to, and which fashion stores or shopping areas are worth visiting.
Also, until what time are most restaurants, food spots, and coffee shops usually open? Since I arrive on Thursday at 9:30 PM, would there still be enough time to do something that evening, or is that already too late?
Thank you in advance for any recommendations!

Amsterdam is like an open air museum. So many interesting things to look at. The Dr Seuss like crooked canal houses, the bridges, the houseboats ranging from junk piles to high end fancy homes, the canals and waterways. I'd find a nice coffee shop - Katsu is open until midnight. Smoke on their outdoor patio, people watch, then just walk around and look at things! I'd make a reservation for a canal cruise with Those Dam Boat Guys, they have smaller boats, for only 10 or so people, and you can bring your own drink and snack and smoke on the boat. It's like cruising with your friends. Then I'd get high again at Coffeeshop La Tertulia, eat a Turkish sandwich from Effendy, and walk around some more.

If you've never been before definitely spend a day and night doing all the usual touristy stuff in centrum. Then if youre able, hire bikes, buy a picnic and a few choice grams and cycle around the parks in the west of the city

First day i would have a centrum tour from central station to de Pijp by walk, and the second day i would travel to volendam or Haarlem because real netherland is outside amsterdam and it's awesome
