got my nails done 5 days ago and they’re already coming off. AIO?
i got my nails done on friday because i wanted to get something strong on them to grow them out. i do my own gel nails, and they never break, chip, or fall off.
as seen in the messages, i went to get sns because i don’t have the supplies for it. i paid $73 with a $27 tip.
the gel chipped and yesterday i went in to get that fixed. they did it for free.
today, two nails fell off entirely.
i called them, my boyfriend called them (he paid for them), and my mom called them (long term client)
every time, we requested a refund, they kept pushing for me to come in and get them redone.
i saw that in google reviews, people requested refunds and the owner responded telling them to text the number for a refund. so i texted the number.
they are still refusing a refund. am i asking for too much or am i right that it’s unusual for nails to fall off and chip within the first five days??
I have done designs that came out better with my left hand. And it has severe carpal tunnel and is basically useless. This is just straight up offensive. I'd be demanding my money back too OP, NOR, damn.
NOR they’re hoping to push you off enough that you stop asking for the refund. They’d rather just lose you as a client than lose you as a client AND give your money back.
They didn’t even do a good job on the design! I’ve only been doing my own nails since 2020, self taught, and I could have done a better job. And there’s no way they should be chipping or popping off so soon!!
They likely didn’t prep your nail bed properly before applying the nails (causing immediate lifting and pop off), and likely didn’t cure the gel polish properly, either (causing immediate chipping). 🤦🏻♀️
I don’t blame you for pushing for a refund; I would too!!
I used to get gel or dipping powder and that shizz was hard as nails (no pun intended). I worked in a Toyota factory and they wouldn't chip for at least 10 days.
Acrylics suck.
A partial refund is reasonable but they are offering to fix them. It sucks, but I think you either eat the cost and never go back to that salon or you let them fix them. You don't gotta change the review.
yeah, i only wanted to get them done to grow them out, because when i do my own nails i have the freedom to do them over and over and not let them grow.
i honestly think it's very crazy. imho you are owed a refund and the fact that they will not give it to you, alongside the actual work they do, says a lot about how they run a business
idk if it's worth the headache of fighting over honestly, i think i'd maybe just go the route of leaving an honest review about your experience and find a new nail tech/keep doing your own nails
even then i wouldn't blame you if you didn't want to leave a review either. i'd be so over this shit LOL
Share the text exchange on google reviews in hopes that they will take you seriously with your refund. The nonchalance in the tect exchange from thei side is infuriating and honestly, horrible customer service
