So, I guess Affirm doesn't want to get paid since they won't let me log back into my account
So I always had a great history with affirm. But in the winter of 2025/2026 I was financially struggling and became late more than a few times.
I finally caught up though, even made some advance payments but I guess by that time, they had officially ruled me delinquent.
Well, fine. They don't have to approve me for anymore purchases, but the bizarre thing is, when you don't have good credit with them anymore, they log you out of the app permantely and your blocked from it. This is something I found out after researching.
How inane is that? How am I supposed to make my payments to finish off the last bill that I have? I don't get why they made a rule to not allow you to log into the app any longer when that's the only way you can pay them and no, I'm not searching for their phone numbers that they change often and go through a complication just to pay my bill off when they made a ridiculous rule.
I guess I just wait for them to call me.

All your doing with this post is showing how financially illiterate you are, itâs doing nothing for you or cute in anyway. I donât know if it yours fault by choice or you were never taught, but now that you have the option if you donât try and only get better from here you have only you to blame.
Iâm sorry you fell on hard times I wouldnât wish that on anyone and sincerely wish you well and hope youâre back to getting sturdy on your feet again.
However, itâs your account that is in limbo, it is your financial obligation you entered into an agreement with them lending you the money or spotting you the credit for said purchases and itâs your life you have to take control or no one else will and you cannot blame anyone for yourself, but you.
As much as it sucks no one but you will be able or ever care to save you. So itâs your responsibility to handle this, to call and talk to them regarding the account, and to inquire about paying things off or how to and possibly getting back into your account to do so.
Where in the hell did you ever get the notion the world is to wait on you? đ đŹ
Thatâs absolutely insanity reading what you wrote in that regard. If you are old enough and can consent to taking on debt, youâre far along enough you should know how to take care of yourself
Youâre severely nieave which isnât an excuse because now thatâs been made aware to you itâs up to you to do something about your financial literacy severe deficit it seems you have or youâre so comfortably ignorant and think the world owes you something when that mindset will knock you flat on your ass like it has already started to.
Have you checked your credit? This without a doubt has affected it negatively and will be on your history and report for the next seven years, thatâs a long time of trying to find places to live if you rent, trying to get a mortgage for a house to live and survive in having shelter, if you need a car to get to work and you try to finance it, I mean do you understand how bad this can screw you over being this negligent wether by lack of education or choice?
If you donât want to fall on hard times again I suggest you shape the fuck up and take this seriously and apply it to every other financial aspect of your life

Yet you took the time to reply? And youâre not cute, youâre very immature and I hope you find your way in life one day, your immaturity will be your down fall if you donât straighten up real quick.
I mean this in the nicest way possible, but itâs probably at least part of what landed you in hard times prior to now. Get it together

You did not know that they would kick you out from the app altogether, just like I didn't know.

wow....this conversation is good to know for my information. I also use affirm. I find it better than using credit cards actually. But i will definitely keep this in mind about late payments. I never been late but u can never say never anymore with the cost of living being so high. Thanks for sharing.

and I can't blame them, I was late 5 months in a row, even though I eventually stopped being late and paid off 3 loans at one time and made a couple of advance payments for the one that I had left. It was just once or twice. I take full responsibility for my actions in this. I just think it's ridiculous to lock out of the entire app and make it hard for me to make payments.

They absolutely do not log you out if you have bad credit with them. i owe them quite a bit outstanding for over a year and i can completely access the account. I just donât have purchasing power which is expected.

Oh yes the do and they did. You can even google it and the information comes right up. They lock you out of the whole app once they consider your credit not good with them anymore.

From directly Google as you said: âNo, Affirm does not lock you out of the mobile app if you fail to make a payment. You will still be able to log in to your account to view your loans and make payments. While the app remains accessible, a missed payment has immediate consequences:Loss of Purchasing Power: Your spending limit will almost certainly be reduced to $0, and you will not be allowed to open new payment plans until the past-due balance is cleared.Credit Reporting: Late payments are reported to credit bureaus (Experian and TransUnion) if you are 30 days or more past due.No Late Fees: Affirm does not charge late fees, but missed payments will still damage your credit score. If you are experiencing financial hardship, Affirm offers tailored assistance and hardship support. You can manage your loans and make payments by logging directly into the Affirm Appâ
What they do is stop extending further credit. your app does not get âlocked outâ of unless you were the one that did so or they suspect you of fraud. So either youâre looking up the wrong information or thereâs quite a bit youâre not including.

Iâve been good about my payments. Almost done. But yeah. Was logged out. I put my phone number and then verification in. It looks like itâs loading. Then goes back to login screen. Reinstalled app and everything. The desktop site still works though. iOS problems maybe.
