Gov Walz is deploying the MN National Guard, and he emphasized that they were MINNESOTA'S, not Trump's.

Except nothing will happen. ICE will get to keep doing what they're doing

Hey, instead of downvoting, how about anyone explains what's going to happen? What, are we going to protest? Is that going to stop them? Are elected officials going to do anything or just sit there compliant like they have been since Trump took office? Forgive me for not getting my hopes up after we've had months of ICE on the streets and not a damn thing happening so if anyone can explain how they plan to hold ICE accountable

Let’s start to move away from “nothing will happen” and start holding them accountable ourselves.

What about trying to really participate in the general strike? To truly do a black out? I believe Jan.20th is a day and more days follow that people won’t show up at jobs nor buy anything. Bringing the machine to a stop. However, we need more people. Maybe this will really move the needle, because it’s way past time! We need to be learning to grow our own food(if we don’t already) as well as learning to can foods. Begin to ration things that you’ve got and try your best to stock up on any and everything that you or someone else may need as this will have to be a collective effort for our communities across the U.S. that care. I’m sure you’ve got a chapter close to you. Also, you can teach yourself or learn from someone else how to do vital and critical work while we’re not buying from any stores. Maybe this will be a good solution..? I’m just throwing it out there for you as I don’t think you mentioned it as a way to change things. I do think this will help things, however it may get uncomfortable if it lasts a long time, which would be good and we’ve all got to be ready for that point. I hope this helps. Also, call your reps/email them. I’ve got Britt & Tuberville, but I still call/email. They don’t usually respond, but I won’t give up. There’s been some dems who’ve condemned this greatly, and then every single RINO except Massey has followed their dear leader. All the best to you! 💙✊

Knock it off with this shit. Either you’re a bot or you’ve just decided to roll over and take it and then spread that sentiment to everyone else. It’s a disease. Stay home if you’re that sick.

Tell me how you're going to hold them accountable then

I’m gonna start with not saying stupid shit out loud like “nothing will happen.” There is plenty happening. Get involved and you might start to notice it.

So answer the question. The original comment says "this is war" and the only responses I've gotten so far was basically protest which isn't any different than before she was murdered

I’ll answer your question when you acknowledge the point. Your question came after the point, there’s an order to a discussion. You ignore me, I ignore you.

You never made a point. You just called be a bot and said there's plenty happening without any specifics. I've been involved in protests.

No, the point is that this rhetoric is a disease and you’re spreading it. That you’ve decided to just give up and roll over. There is plenty happening. Yes, protest is one of those things and it is important to keep it up and keep building our numbers. 3.5% is the threshold for mass mobilization, we hit 2.1% at the last No Kings. There are also weekly protests that are important to keep pressure on.

Aside from that, there also multiple cases currently making their way through the courts. You can volunteer on multiple levels. If you aren’t out protesting, you can proved mutual aid. You can attend training, you can donate to legal organizations, you can keep pressure on your representatives.

Mass mobilization, political movements, investigations, and court cases take time. There have already been several wins in the courts. The wins don’t make news as often because good news doesn’t sell and rage bait = engagement.

Start paying attention to what is being done, and start working toward it. Literally SAYING NOTHING AT ALL is more productive than spreading the sentiment that nothing is happening and nothing is possible. Fatalism does not encourage action. Stop discouraging people from acting.

This shit show didn’t happen overnight and it’s not going to be fixed overnight. This is a marathon not a sprint. Many people are working very hard and have been for some time. Join them if you feel a call to action, but at the very least just shut up unless YOU have some suggestions.
