Advice Wanted 2 under 2 help

My wife and I just had our second our first is exactly 13 months old the best ball of joy a bit dramatic but never dull 😂 what I’m wondering is how do you manage I know we’re planning on focusing on our oldest because he knows things he’s not a bump on a log like the new born but is there any advice? Also I have eight weeks of paternity leave (I’m dad) my wife is sahm any advice for these eight weeks of what I should focus on?

Congrats! My first two are 17 months apart and I’m due any day now with our third who will be 13 months from our second…. Your thought to prioritize the toddler is what we did and it went well honestly. Dad was mainly on toddler duty the early weeks but we switched on and off once I physically felt more recovered.

You mentioned how much paternity leave you have, my husband ended up not using all of his at once but rather saving a week or two that he was able to use anytime before the baby turned one. As the mom, I found that extremely helpful to say hey I need you to take the day off. I just really needed a break or help randomly throughout the following months and could tap him without having to cut into his PTO. Just something to think about!

Thanks for the advice!! I get a total of 12 so I’ll have four more weeks I can use whenever same as him before 1 year old so that’s a big help! Best of luck in your labor!!
