Got a Rally to finish my reformed EDC!

Got this today to replace my Rambler.
I don’t need the tiny scissors, as I carry a Pioneer X or Super Tinker in addition to it, but I’m loving the Rally as a final piece of my edc that needed to be replaced (tl;dr Narcissistic ex, wanted to swap out everything that reminded me of/was connected to her) and I can’t go without my inline PH 0.

I was completely unable to resist the low price SwissChamp on Amazon. It arrived in the middle of the week, but as it was the black version I also took the opportunity to order blue scale tools and an orange lanyard. This appealed to me because it contrasts my blue scale Recruit with black scale tools (and an orange lanyard).

Was handed this today by my father in law who was clearing out, has plenty of wear but lots of life still in it too. Will give it a clean up and can go into daily service to give my victorious floral a rest.

Interesting discoloration

I don't know if it will be noticeable from the photos but interestingly the front scale of my Waiter has turned more of a cream colour from being carried in a leather slip, while the back scale has stayed perfectly white. Any guesses why this is? It of course doesn't bother me but I found it interesting how one scale has stayed perfect and the other has not.

Added an Electrician

I’ve wanted the Electrician forever, and found them on Amazon for $44.00, after someone on here told everyone. Not the greatest deal, but still a good price. I wish all me knives had the inline reamer. It would be perfect on an Explorer, omitting the small blade. I don’t know if the sheep’s foot blade with the wire stripping notch will be useful.

Hey the blade on my Sierra model sticks up slightly and I catch it occasionally. Is this something victorinox can fix without replacing the entire sak?

Looking for the Ideal Victorinox Between the Compact and SwissChamp

I'm interested in getting a Victorinox Swiss Army Knife, and I've spent quite a bit of time researching the different models available. The Compact is almost perfect for me, but in my opinion it has a few shortcomings, mainly the lack of a Phillips screwdriver and additional screwdrivers.

Because of that, I've noticed there are only a few models that really fit my personal needs. I've also been looking at the SwissChamp. While it's a bit larger, I don't think the size would be a major issue for me. However, it includes many tools that I realistically wouldn't use on a regular basis.

What I'm really looking for is something in between the Compact and the SwissChamp. My work is primarily focused on television broadcast studios and outside broadcast trucks, so both Phillips and flathead screwdrivers are essential tools for me. At the same time, I don't want to give up features like the corkscrew, the scissors, the bottle opener, and even the can opener, which can occasionally be very useful.

I also consider the pen and tweezers to be must-have tools. Ideally, I'd love a model that combines these practical everyday features with the screwdriver capabilities I need for my work, without adding too many extra tools that I would rarely use.

Users of the Cybertool, how much force can the bit-driver handle?

Have my Cybertool S serviced and use it as EDC now. Saw some posts about it being designed for electronic devices and their screws.

You shouldn't build a house with it, but can it handle a bit more torque than just unscrewing battery compartments?

Explorer mod

My beloved explorer had the perfect toolset except the nail file so I sacrificed the small blade that never got used. Ground the edge off, broke the edges all around, and hit one side with a diamond bit to rough it up to about a 1200 grit and then superglued 300 grit on the other side. It’s now more functional than the factory nail file

Outdoorsy Huntsman

Post image

Just got myself a huntsman (vic nr 5) and this will be my camping/outdoors knife.

I have used my Farmer and Rambler in combination for this but want a single knife to handle it all.. + the addiction has taken me..

Anyway, I’m looking for ways to make it more capable. I am thinking a lanyard with a ferro rod, and that paracord with tinder on the inside.
I’ve seen the little corkscrew accessories you can get and might get those too, but I want something that can be used more as a standard way of lighting fires when camping as opposed to an ”emergency” tool.

Anyone have some inspiration or ideas around this? Not limited to fire starting.
General outdoor companion improvement.

I printed 1mm thin scales for my Ambassador, now with only 6mm~ thickness this one might replace the Classic SD as a backup in my wallet. Pretty happy with how good it turns out.

Victorinox Champion Plus

I think it’s a William Tell Spartan model but I’m not sure. I’m wondering what the value might be.

I carry 30-50 lbs of tools for work daily. I'm really enjoying the simplicity in my off days.
