Hey everyone long time Tuscaloosa mama here. Im looking for some work. I have a job but its not making the income I need to cover all my bills and put groceries on the table. I cant tell you how many times Ive heard oh we just hired. So please message me w some odd jobs you'd like to get done that you haven't been able to or if you need some errands ran or if you have a senior citizen that needs some help running errands. I’ve been to the Sanctuary on 25th a couple times, but there’s still something about it that feels like it could be more. Food is alright nothing special, the drinks however are pretty good and feel way more elevated than the food. The staff is nice, and I’ve talked to the manager and she was really nice. They have live music most nights which is great. However I still feel like there’s something missing. Any thoughts?

I ate at the Curry Kitchen last night and the manager informed me that unfortunately they are closing in about a week.

If you have an opportunity, I recommend going one last time if you can, the Chicken Tikka Masala and a side of Naan are always great!

Im looking for a primary care doctor after not having one since i was seeing a pedestrian when i was a teen and I'm trying to see if there are any transgender friendly doctors in the Tuscaloosa area cause i really dont wanna make an appointment with a primary care doctor just to have them refuse service or not take my health seriously because i am trans, i also really dont want to have to travel out of Tuscaloosa for a doctor and do not want a doctor through telehealth as i would rather have in person appointments.

Is anybody here in or have applied to the nursing program at Shelton or the UA. How competitive is it?

Does anyone have places in or around Tuscaloosa that no one really talks about? Or just cool places in general? The only places I can think of and swear by are Sanctuary, Loosa, Nocturnal, Las Piñas, and Tuscaloosa Barnyard.

Alabama native planning to stay in Tuscaloosa now that I’ve graduated from UA. I had been visiting my family dentist during winter and summer breaks but I think I’m better off finding one here. I put it off because I really like my home dentist but my family moved and I can’t justify driving two hours for dental work.

Like many people I have a hard time with dentists.
I have two autoimmune diseases, and one affects my teeth/ causes inflammation in my gums. So it’s important that I find a good dentist who does regular check ups, but also understands that my issues aren’t caused by lack of hygiene/ proper brushing.

I also need someone who isn’t going to try to get a bunch of money out of me because I have to pay for my other medications and treatments and cannot afford non-essential dental work (I had one dentist once who loved to fill “pre-cavities”).

Any recommendations for understanding and realistic dentists in the tuscaloosa area? Or recommendations of who to avoid (lol)? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I saw that there is a Tuscaloosa County Online Tag Portal. Does this mean I apply for the tag online without going to the license commission?
