So with the Owen Hart bracket being released and seeing all the reactions and speculation that’s come with it has given me an idea for how her return could be booked.

Initially I’d have the tournament go basically as planned except that I’d have Thekla and her group take out Windsor a week before her match with Willow. That then creates speculation that it’ll be Mercedes returning but instead I’d have a different surprise there maybe a Zelina, Britt, or Tay Melo. Someone who can fight and loss to Willow but still get a good surprise pop. Then the tournament goes as planned and at the end a babyface like Willow or someone else wins then as the confetti is falling Mercedes Mones music hits. She comes out wearing a very big furry coat and has the Owen title over her shoulder. She then gets in the ring congratulates the winner plays coy for a bit and then opens the coat to reveal that she’s pregnant! She can cry the babyface can be super excited for her along with the fans. Mercedes then hands her Owen title over to the winner celebrates with the winner and then BAM! Mercedes backstabs the winner and lays a vicious beat down on them. Mercedes then reaches under her top undoes the Velcro and reveals that she’s not pregnant. She then stands tall and is more serious and ruthless than ever.

Then after that she can maybe get a faction or just win the AEW title and run with this more serious character. This idea plays off of her flair for the dramatic like how she ripped off her purple wig to reveal a blue wig. And with all the pregnancy speculation and Bianca recently returning to announce her pregnancy I think this could be a true surprise and the first ever return like it and if done right could be remembered like Mark Henry’s swerve is.
