All I'm pidgezero_one, a jack-of-all-trades in the Smash community and an early recipient of Smash for Wii U. Ask me anything!

Hi everybody! I'm Pidge, otherwise known as Stef - if you've ever been to a major tournament and seen a 6'3" long-haired brunette screaming about Jigglypuff it was probably me.

I was the lucky recipient of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U in the pics that made their rounds around the internet 2 weeks back! I am very good at this game.

I am a tournament organizer for Smash 64, a commentator for Brawl, and a competitor for all official Smash games plus PM. I am from Toronto, a city which is often described as a Smash utopia. I focus a lot of my efforts into promoting the Smash community to people who have never heard of it. I'm also the owner of the /r/smashbros IRC channel, former head of the TO team, and occasional subreddit designer. I also wrote and popularized the definitive guide for the new Brawl Wifi servers featured on Smashboards.

I love talking about Smash and everything surrounding it - Ask me anything! I will start answering stuff at around 3 pm EST. In the meantime check out CLASH Tournaments' special stream from 12pm to 2pm EST! I wonder what it could be?

The only hard thing about it is burnout. Luckily we have a very motivated Smash community up here and I don't really need to be doing so much.

Haha, good answer.

I can't say enough about how I can understand that. Sometimes personalities and the community near you can make or break a TO. I used to run things in New England, and ended up assisting and running a lot of tourneys that weren't mine own. But I don't have quite the even keel I needed to maintain the position I was in after too long. It was... very very trying at times.

I applaud you. I met you at Apex 2012(I think it was 2012, you dressed up like Ness lol) and you seemed like a really kind person, but you've done impressive things taking such an impressive leadership role in area. Good shit Pidge, good shit.

Totally understand where you're coming from. Every community is different, and some are more difficult than others, and it sounded like you were putting in a lot of unparalleled work. I'm very blessed that the worst I have to deal with from my regulars is them holding up bracket by playing joke matches in dubs grand finals.

Thanks for the kind words man, damn, that was a long time ago! Let's grab a drink if I make it to apex this year.
