[Melee] Hi, I'm Dr.Peepee, ask me anything!

Hey guys, I was asked by Prog to make this post, and it sounded pretty fun so I decided to do it. I love talking to people and about smash so this is right up my alley haha. Like the title says, ask me anything!

Probably because it IS bad. Brawl is a joke. First of all, you've got tripping. Everyone knows about tripping. Have you ever heard of a game that punishes you SIMPLY FOR PLAYING IT?

Secondly, the game's got seriously inept coding. It was recently discovered by the Project: M development team that EVERY SINGLE INPUT YOU MAKE IN BRAWL HAS 0-2 FRAMES OF INPUT LAG. Proof: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xw0mXL9ofKI

Let's take a moment to pause and contemplate just how fucking awful that is. If the input lag was the same every time (let's say 1 frame, or 2 frames), your brain would eventually get used to it and compensate for it. But it's random. You have 0-2 frames of lag ON EVERY INPUT. So sometimes, the input will be lagless, and other times, you'll have 2 frames of lag. Are you starting to understand why this is less than ideal in a fighting game, where consistency is more than just a little bit important?

The only worthwhile thing Brawl ever did was introduce interesting new characters for the Project: M team to balance and make competitively viable. Brawl is a travesty; thank God it's on its way out. Enjoy watching your scene dwindle away.

Yeah, but you don't have to trash talk the game so much and hate on brawl players for playing the game we like...

Why did apex 2012 have over 400 entrants for brawl, which still holds the record for biggest smash event in history?

Dat dwindle
