Is she real or a figment of Tony’s imagination or did I miss something (very possible, I zone out lol)? She first shows up in the club bathroom after Tony throws up. No one speaks directly to her, when they were in the pool she disappeared suddenly, and she even knew things he’d never told her before. Do you think she represents something within Tony? I’m rewatching the show and there are so many little details I don’t remember. This show is so complex and beautiful, even in twisted ways but still. The first two seasons are the best imo but watching through the entire show is a must, at least once. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Just stumbled across this subreddit.

I stumbled across this show when I floating around Europe as a 25 yr old unemployed vagrant from Australia. Whilst it was largely beaches sunshine and making friends towards the end as I got further east/north and summer turned to a harsh euro winter and I got more and more homesick. the characters from skins would keep me company on the trains and buses.

My favourite character was Alo. It broke my heart how he disappointed his father. Anyway. Special mention to Emily and Katy

I feel like some characters on Skins never got the closure they deserved. Take Pandora Moon, for example - she starts off as this innocent, naive girl but gets dragged into situations way over her head. It would’ve been interesting to see her storyline handled with more care after everything she goes through. Hey everyone! I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how Skins changed the game for teen dramas,and honestly, for TV in general. The show didn’t just push boundaries; it blew them up, giving us a unfiltered look at adolescence that felt real. But what made it so groundbreaking? And why does it still resonate with so many teens today? One of the most talked-about aspects of Skins was its willingness to tackle taboo subjects : sex, drugs, mental health,with young actors at the center. How did the cast, many of whom were teenagers themselves, handle filming such intense and explicit scenes?

Did the show provide enough support, or were they thrown into the deep end? I’ve read interviews where some actors have spoken about the challenges, but I’d love to hear more from the fandom,especially if anyone has insights or behind-the-scenes stories! I like to think Jake from Skins Fire is what Freddie would have looked like. Makes me wonder if that was one of the reasons Effy was so attracted to him.

I think Sid is a victim of narcissistic personality disorder (Tony) and borderline personality disorder (Cassie). I think it is an interesting comparison of the disorders.

F24 first time watcher. Maybe I need to rewatch and pay more attention, and/or be patient but I am struggling to see if Effy's physiologist/therapist was actually bad, or if this is an added layer of psychosis after running around with cook?? idk but either way I want to emphasize that cook's character development is incredible

he has always been a smart kid let's not forget. I think he was hurt a lot in his past and he felt the need to do the most so that people wouldn't leave. however, when he has to get really mad be there for his loved ones he showed up. His love was clear and loud, but I am SO glad to see his intelligence and supportive self (his most honest self) appaear more often increasingly over time this season.

Hot take, I loved Grace’s death. I think the only reason it doesn’t really land as it should was because it wasn’t focused on enough the following season. Had the characters been allowed to properly grieve instead of the weird relationship drama they gave us it could have been so good. If the following season focused on how each character was affected by the death and moved forward from it like Richie was.. like Mini and Liv were childhood friends. They knew her parents. Why was there never any interaction or mention. I hated the direction the creators chose to go there was such a good foundation. Both previous seasons we saw a death and both times we saw very briefly that it deeply affected other characters. This was such a missed opportunity to explore that further.

YO. I love this series absolutely to pieces, I've rewatched multiple times and I'm just so stuck on this thought that the last season feels like it left their story unfinished. It's like everything crashed and burned for Cook & Effy especially, then it ended. It was really entertaining and great seeing more of them, but I just wish I could see MORE!!! Also the series never brings back up Sid trying to find Cassie. People are saying he died looking for her. ToT More likely he's just somewhere out there. I really wish I could see their lives get better.

Another note of fire: Naomi was soooo mean in those eps. Like Effy was the only one locking in making sure they were taken care of, and she was constantly criticizing her until her last breath. I get being upset with some things, but Naomi was constantly having a tantrum. I can't help but feel bad for Effy for now being alone, it's like she didn't have any real friends to begin with. I just want to see her with her people. ToT also it was never addressed that her boss that groomed her looked like YOU KNOW WHO. I really wanted that to be addressed and see her work through her grief somehow. Maybe she could've talked about it with Naomi if she wasn't so self obsessed the whole time. I of course have sympathy for her cancer, but it's not a good excuse as to how she's been acting.. (Pressuring Effy to take substances, sabotaging her sleep, being angry about her having to work, making her keep the secret from emily, throwing a tantrum at the casino..)
