If I had to guess, it’s less that she hates renters per se and moreso that she dislikes the concept of renting and the power dynamic it creates. There’s this collective belief in America too that owning is superior to renting and gives you more freedom, so it’s a pie-in-the-sky “this way nobody will be disadvantaged by renting because everyone will live in a house” idea which is both 1) not how it works and 2) seems to equate renting to a greater evil than lack of housing which I think anyone here should take issue with
