I've seen people livestreaming from their prison cell with, I presume, a contraband cell phone

Yeah, the official story is that prisoners handwrite dictations to family or friends to post from their social media account.

But yeah, they all getting contraband cellphones.

There's a really creepy AMA from a guy who was literally replying to questions from a prison cell. The creepiness factor is when people find out the exact reason he got jailed for (Murdering his sister IICR).

Apparently, some jails are more lax on electronics.
