I'm far from a beer expert - in fact I only properly started drinking about 2 years ago (close to 18 now). But I can guarantee you that I could tell the difference between a nice pint of Peroni and a pint of fosters, unless I was smashed.

In fairness, that test you did would not work on everybody. I have tried blind taste-tests and the like before and I'm rarely wrong. You have to bear in mind that some people can't even tell the difference between Coke and Pepsi...

On the other hand, the difference isn't that great, no, but again referring back to Coke and Pepsi - some people may love one and hate the other, and vice versa. If it was Fosters in a Peroni glass as one of my first drinks, I would definitely be able to tell that something was off. Obviously, if I'd had a few already I probably wouldn't, but that goes for most things.

Holy shit you've been drinking for two years straight? I'd ask how you do it but it seems you're not quite human..
