Yummies for Puppies 🐶 Treats for puppies
I'm a huge fan of Dogsters not only because they're not too expensive, they're straight forward and they have braille on the box (a plus!) They have 2 flavors, cheesy bacon and pumpkin yogurt. Its their once a week thing and they loves either flavor.
Then there's the three dog bakery. My bridge girl loved their harder cookies.. my current 2, not so much. But they have lots of different things to try and sometimes Mom has to taste test first. And um... so I did in fact try the carob chip cookies myself. They are human edible but I have to say I was not fond of them...lol (dogs enjoy them just fine!)

All The Chips A few NZ potato chip flavours (thread)
This is just a very small sampling of the flavours of potato chips available here in New Zealand.
Look through the thread for more (the sub appears to be currently set to allow only one image per post).

I Want Candy 🍭 Weird M&M's from CVS
Went to CVS to pick up allergy meds , dipped past the candy aisle and saw the oddest flavored M&Ms....

So far, me and the pups did try the Lemon Meringue Pie ones and they were ...not terrible. I bit sweet, not enough lemon but its what you get.
Tomorrow I will try one of the others without puppy input.

Food Review Junk food for dinner, Hispanic style?
I have nachos with salsa, fuet sausage, and brie cheese.
Yes guys, this isn't healthy. But it's rich and elegant.
Mediterranean junk food. Sort of.

Gluten-Free Lunch today

Todays lunch. Again not exactly a meal but still rather decent. Our local Publix had them on BOGO. I opted for cheddar because if the dogs get these, I don't have to worry about the other ones (yes they actually like these)
It wasn't the only part of the meal, I did have them with home made hummus.

Housekeeping 🧹 We've got flairs! + other house keeping matters
Good morning or evening, depending on where you are in the world!
As of today we have a whole spread of post flairs. Please feel free to use them or, of course, suggest new ones you think is needed.
Also I want to address the elephant in the room:
I'm exceptionally tolerant of most things...to a point. I have a thick skin and I'm tough as nails, too old not to be with my leathery hide. What I will not tolerate is a complete lack of disrespect to sub members, and anything that disrupts the feeling of this sub.
I have no problem putting folk in time out. If people are complaining about you, Imma look at you with different eyes. If you have seen me in another sub (r/fragrance) you know I'm the same here as I am there.
I'm here for the fun, I picked this place specifically for it. If you're not here for fun and if you here to troll folk and cannot agree to disagree, thats not working for me and thats a you thing.
Arguments that disrupt the flow of the sub will be locked, and persons who also instigate those arguments will be gone.
Please feel free to read the rules in detail, make sure we all agreeing and copacetic. https://www.reddit.com/r/junkfood/wiki/index/rules/
To those who are here and enjoying it as well as helping to make this a fun place, thank you, I appreciate you.

Kia ora from Aotearoa!
Kia ora (hello) from Aotearoa (New Zealand)! We are a nation *obsessed* with junk food. You can find meat pies just about anywhere, and potato chips come in a wide (and wild) assortment of flavours!
I haven’t got any photos at the moment, but I’ll be sure to take some and share them here.
Update: I can’t find anything in the house worthy of a photo at the moment. Looks like husband and kids ate them already! 😆 I was really looking forward to showing a plethora of chip flavours.

Housekeeping 👋 Welcome to r/junkfood - Introduce Yourself and Read First!
Hey everyone! I'm u/tasteslikechikken, the new moderator of r/junkfood.
The goal is to help revive this once lively place but I will need a lot of community help.
My goal is simple:, make this a vibrant community talking about the good stuff with maybe some off topic stuff here and there. I will be going through the sub, cleaning things up, seeing what can be added, and what can be deleted and asking lots of questions of all of you.
Once I get a sense of things I will choose another moderator from the community to help me.
For those who are here,
- Introduce yourself in the comments below.
- Post something I'm very open to questions, comments, and concerns.
- If you know someone who would love this community, invite them to join! We like people right?
Thanks for being part of the restart to make r/junkfood great again!

Discussion Why aren't empanadas more popular worldwide if they're so practical?
There are four main types of empanadas: Argentinian/Chilean, Venezuelan, Arab, and Spanish. They can be filled with just about anything, although within these countries there are some foolproof recipes. They're incredibly convenient as street food and can even be considered healthy depending on the style and filling you choose. And yes, they can be filled with sweet fillings. In Argentina/Chile, they're typically filled with sweet potato or quince paste. In Spain, I saw them filled with dulce de leche.
