ANNOUNCEMENT 💥 Explosions, ricochets and blown-off turrets!

Commanders, in the upcoming "Operation Neptune" major update, you will be greeted with significantly reworked visuals when it comes to combat effects!

The destruction of tanks will become more spectacular: the effects of ammunition rack fires will be improved, plus the blown-off turrets will be able to even crush unsuspecting soldiers underneath them. Flying debris will leave distinct smoke trails and the resulting fire will spread to nearby grass and deal damage.

It will also be easier to spot when you penetrate the armor of vehicles, as it will produce more sparks, smoke and flames. Moreover, bullets from small arms will now ricochet off armor.

Aircraft won't be left out either: the total destruction of a plane will be accompanied by a powerful explosion, while the blown-off parts will scatter more realistically, leaving a trail of fire in their wake.

Additionally, the update will bring reworked muzzle effects for certain calibers, improved tracers and dust effects from hits, as well as smoother fire animations.

ANNOUNCEMENT 🆕 Weapons and vehicles of the "Operation Neptune" update

Commanders, summer and the next major update with new content to the research tree is just around the corner!

SU-122 (USSR, BR III)

SU-122 (USSR, BR III)

A self-propelled howitzer built on a T-34 chassis. Its main advantage is its gun, which is equally dangerous to both infantry and armored targets thanks to its HE and HEAT shells. Clear out enemy fortifications or destroy their armored support - the choice is yours.

Nashorn (Germany, BR IV)

Nashorn (Germany, BR IV)

A German tank destroyer with an 88 mm PaK43 cannon that you are already familiar with. Due to its open-topped superstructure, it is better suited for ambushes. However, if the enemy infantry somehow manages to get close, the MG 34 machine guns mounted on both sides are capable of defending the crew.

Suomi KP/-31 (SJR) (Germany, BR V)

Suomi KP/-31 (SJR) (Germany, BR V)

An improved version of the Suomi KP/-31 featuring a muzzle brake, which improves the gun's accuracy. Combined with its 71-round magazine, it results in a formidable weapon.

Type 4 90mm AT (Japan, BR III)

Type 4 90mm AT (Japan, BR III)

A continuation of the Type 4 70mm AT's development, offering better armor penetration capability. It was designed in response to the increasing armor thickness of enemy tanks.

F7F-1 (USA, BR V)

F7F-1 (USA, BR V)

A twin-engine heavy fighter from Grumman, boasting outstanding performance and excellent firepower. In addition to being one of the fastest piston-engine fighters, it is armed with four 20 mm M3 cannons in the nose and four 12.7 mm M2 Browning machine guns in the wing roots. But if that is still not enough, it also comes with two 500 lb AN-M64A1 bombs.

Also, this one single guy, in one single squad, can have both an FG 42 AND FG 42 mag pouches. Criminal.

Discussion I've got a gripe with these guys.

As you can see, these men are a BR II premium paratrooper squad. my loadout is currently BR 3.

someone PLEASE explain to me how it is balanced that they can drop onto a point and obtain the Tokyo Arsenal SMG, a BR V weapon? getting uptiered would put me into BR 4, and I'm basically the downtiered one now???

I suppose I shouldn't be in a place to complain since I'm the one using them, but still. what is Gaijin smoking?

(I also realized I uploaded the picture 3 times. please don't mind that)

Discussion What do y'all hope for comes in the D-Day event?

I personally hope for a paratrooper event since the last one was 9 months ago, gave one squad and we have barely gotten any squads this year even if we're halfway through the year. I also want a proper "Reinforcements Received" and NOT more vehicles.

Feedback All engineers should get AA emplacements

It shouldn‘t just be the engineer team that gets anti air, it should be available to all engineers at all times. We can have anti tank and the machine gun outside of the engineer squad, but really with the amount of spam players do with planes and bombs if you can build a rally you should be able to build AA

Discussion What's your wishlist for BR changes and weapon balance in the coming update?

New update means new weapon adjustments, so what are you guys hoping to see?

For BR changes, I have two. The first is seeing the 1919A4 downtiered to BR3, with bonus points if it gets the ability to hip-fire. I wouldn't be upset if, with the hipfire ability, they kept it at BRIV, but gave us a 50 or 75 round version at BRIII.

The second one is a personal pipe dream that I don't think many people care about and can't imagine actually happening, but I would fucking LOVE LOVE LOVE to see the Portable No.2 Flamethrower nerfed and reduced to BRIII, so that it can play with the rest of the British equipment.

As for nerfs/buffs, obligatory nerf SF rifles.

Something else I would like to see in the weapons department is a once over on iron sights. Some guns, like the Sten Mk III, M1A1 Thompson Para, Sichuan Thompson, Ross Mk III, Lewis .303, and Smith and Wesson Light Rifle have sights that are either atrociously modeled, being used wrong, or both. The two Thompsons using the notch on top of the sight instead of the aperture is just very annoying, the Sten MK3 rear aperture is comically oversized, the Lewis rear aperture is too small, the Ross and Light Rifle have the front post sticking a mile too high, meaning all your shots SHOULD be going over the heads of your targets. There are definitely other offenders, those are just off the top of my head.

Another thing I would like to see, in the same vein, is for all bolt action to remain shouldered during cycling. No military involved in WWII taught soldiered to hold the rifle out in front of them to cycle the action. However, this should come with the caveat of your sight picture jumping around like crazy as you run the bolt, with a less pronounced effect on rifles that have straight pull bolts or an exceptional reputation for smooth cycling, like the Mannlicher or Lee-Enfield.

Finally, come on devs, get your shit together and reclassify the M2 Carbine as an Assault Rifle, WTF are you guys doing with that.

Question New player and I have a couple questions!

It seems they have you play against bots in the beginning, first 2 games I was like 100/8 then 175/6 kd ratio. In my other games I am still top 3 on team with a decent kd but a lot less lol. My problem is that I’ve probably played 5 real games so far and lost every single one. I play the objective too.
How do you win?

Second, it seems like players Smurf on this game. It seems some people were spawning with insane or high level squad numbers meanwhile my biggest squad is 5.
Is BR rank based purely off of guns/vehicles?

Other than those curiosities I’ve been enjoying the game a lot, any other tips would be great, I’ve been using US mostly.

Both on ‘attack armored target’ order - AT bot takes a while to set itself up compared to the TNT throwable bot.
