It really crushes my heart that we're not gonna see this girls ever again (the anime covered the entire manga). It was an AMAZING journey from head to toe, the different stories, the feelings, the inner and outer struggles. This final episode was very good IMO despite what everyone here says and that final scene with at the club room with all the different colours that represent the different stages of youth it was fantastic, truly fantastic.

That final phrase "It fit", it resumes the entire series in just two words, it's incredible, I mean, the emotions, love and hate, confussion, sex, youth and the process of growing up, YES, THEY FIT, they're there for a reason, they're there to show you the way, even if that way goes against the already established. Goodbye O Maidens, you won't be forgotten.

The anime has surpassed the manga now but the author confirmed an epilogue which will probable cover what we saw after the colours scene.

Late reply, but did it seriously cover the entire manga? 8 volumes in 12 episodes is kind of...insane. Must have been a lot of scenes that got cut then. I did feel like some parts of the anime were a little rushed but it didn't feel like 8 volumes worth. And when I finished watching it I was thinking "Oh, I guess the manga concludes some of the stories that the anime didn't get to." It felt like there should have been more that happened between the school painting and the epilogue scenes and I figured the manga would fill in that gap.
