When Erin was listening to Armin tell him he would back down since he promised to see the ocean, and Erin knew what was really happening. That part hit me emotionally. Only like 3 shows have ever made me feel that way for a character.

More than faith i thinkhe was lying to himself, deep down he knew that armin was lying but he wanted to believe he wouldn’t sacrifice himself.

I think the first was steins gate but I cant remember which part. And Hunter x Hunter when Kilua fought Rammot, and cried because he thought he couldn't be Gons friend any more.
