So what popular harem anime's have a male protag who's presented as an emotionally damaged underdog who's friend's sexually harass people and they defend them in what the show presents as a very serious and justified moment?
Be specific.
The idea of sexually harassing someone or beating someone in anime being played for comedy, both male and female oriented, is common. What is not common is the context and seriousness and righteousness this one has.
Your standard male MC harem anime has the MC being a pretty empty personalized nice guy who's always saving women from being sexually harassed to make you want to think he's a nice guy without having any real character development. With the bonus "I saved a slave by buying them and freeing them but now their my companion" thrown in.
Even "harem in another world" has more nuance somehow and that show is one alot of Reddit would prolly instantly have issues with.
