OK, I'm wondering why this is even called anime?

It has no anime feel to it and, well the obvious, it isn't even Japanese, just happens to have Japanese language VAs. The characters don't look like anime, the way they talk to each other isn't like anime, their manerisms aren't like anime, and it's even 100% set in another country - aside: you can replace the word 'anime' in this sentence with 'Japanese' if you like.

Unrelated to that, the animation is very low quality, often bland background colours, and a lot of lack of movement.

Deleted from my watch list.

True. This is an american webtoon adapted and produced by a japanese studio which has a very mediocre history.

Japanese culture in animes are always trying to incorporate Western words and traditions that were never Japanese though. So what is anime if not multicultural?
