It's not even so much that the manager is gross, as it is that he feels like he is being presented as a romantic option, and not the dude that gets the crap kicked out of him by the real love interest.

this is why i like it.
im so tired of all the normal romance tropes. idk how people keep eating that generic shit up.

im glad for any romance that tries something at least a little bit different. even if just a tiny bit. please.

I'm with you on this. People seem fine with the lewd harem anime roundabout. Charles is gorgeous at trying to act chivalrous - rather than ogling her bahoobies!
