It was clear that he was not a bad guy during the flashback, no jealousy or such pushing him towards evil. Man was corrupted by Vordin. It shows in his fights with Eslinn and Alicia that he respects his enemies and fights them honourably

Absolutely! Just goes to show how ruthless the Dark Beast Lord(s) are, they will dispose of you as soon as you are rendered "useless" - I'm interested to see how things will go further with Klen in this aspect as well since clearly he is showing some empathy (if that's even the right word for it lol)

I feel like Clevatess will develop a "friendship" with Alicia overtime, where she keeps him grounded and avoids him getting too aloof

I could see that too - like a relationship of mutual respect and her as the liaison for humans

The fact that Alicia was able to convince Klen to reconsider (by forcing him to truly consider his feelings towards Luna) was pretty amazing. Klen does actually feel a quasi-parental sense of kinship/responsibility towards Luna (even if Klen will continue to try to frame his interest as "selfish").

Presumably it's to make sure his dark ichor is kept intact, since once Drel explodes the ichor seems to travel off, probably returning to Vordein. Dark Ichor isn't indestructible and continuing to fight and take damage would presumably whittle it down bit by bit (even if it can probably generate back over time if he wins) so once the odds looked bad for Drell Vordein decided to just cut his losses and kill Drell to take back the dark ichor rather than risk it on a losing battle and lose strength that would take a decent amount of time to recover at the very least

Agreed. He was such an interesting villain that I hoped we'd get to see more fighting between him and Alicia in the future.
