Agreed. My only issue with the show so far is that Ryo is just too annoyingly passive and subservient to authority. But it really came to a head there. There is ZERO reason for the guild leader to even mention that Ryo ignored the guards. Because Ryo is a pushover it goes fine, but it's just needlessly antagonistic and has a whoile lof of potential downside.

It would be like if I did a month's worth of work for my entire department in 3 days and my boss came up to me with a critique afterwards that I failed to CC them on an email. I would immediately look to sell my services to someone else that didn't hassle me when I do their work for them.

Because they're not publicizing that Ryo saved the day, the only thing those topside of the dungeon know is that he ignored guards and ran into the dungeon.

That's something that would get somebody in trouble when the dungeon is locked down like it was - so he has to talk to him about it and give him some kind of punishment if one just for public perception.

If Ryo had given pushback, I'm sure the guild master would have completely backed down - since he already knows it's dangerous for the whole country if Ryo becomes their enemy.

I mean, the heroes' party could defeat the current demon lord and Ryo is supposedly a thousand times stronger than the hero.
