I don't think they're in the same dungeon, solely because the town's dungeon was closed due to the stampede research. If there's also the hero party venturing in the dungeon at the same time, they would have mentioned it already.

I think that what they are implying is that Leonore was the one that caused the big event, she took that black crystal fro wherever the heck she ran into D class hero wannabe, and then that is the orb that got broken and drained when ryo killed the Demon Prince.
