Sorry Ryo is only at 1 byte worth of simultaneous casting. I am not sure if he needs to train to unlock 1 more bit to allow him to cast 512 or if he has to wait for the full byte and then he can do 65,536.

I am just kidding. I have no clue how his system works.

I imagine he's found a way to double his spell, and then double his doubled spell etc. Much easier than keeping tracking of exactly N spells in your head.

His limit was 256 if he wants to perfectly cast and control it (like instantly). Double that, and he won't be able to control 100% of the attacks. Make it reach 1024 and the cast time will be at least a second (which is deadly in close combat as seen beforehand).

uhh, the maximum rn is 256😭. but even after including his water magician, it won't enhance his speed. that is what ryo wants to work around as he said in the fight with leonairre. also, ig wind magic does make you insanely fast, or it's just sera cuz she's an elf? It'd be a massive help to ryo cuz now he has a sparring partner. oh and 1 more thing, sera didn't use a staff for her magic either…

I believe he is currently practicing that after his fight with Leonore. We see him try and freeze the ground to move faster by sliding along it and using water jets to propel him briefly. Who knows maybe he'll make a full on mech suit out of water.

Heating and cooling air behind and in front of him using his water to create air currents (wouldn't put this incredibly convoluted and nonsensical manner past him lol).

I couldn't tell if she was casting the magic itself or if it was just wind enchantments on her gear. Cause gear wise, Ryo was wearing the fairy king clothes which at the very least has some protection enchantment on it that prevented the akuma from killing him.

he also lost because his blade broke, while if he had used his magical sword it would be ok lol, so probably a tie

his defenses were on par with her attacks, so he can match her without using magic, which is already very impressive

I wouldn't say a tie, he explicitly points out she's overwhelming him with speed and power before the sword broke, if magic was in the mix he'd likely win but it looks like she's just better with a sword

You are missing half of that exchange. She mentioned his defense, he talked about her speed. Which implied both were unable to get winning advantage over the other, until his word broke.

Also “she is better with a sword” is incorrect. She was using sword + magic, her speed from wind magic.

These looked like active use enchantments. So she doesn't have to explicitly cast magic (which in this world is done with chants and a medium), but she can choose when and how it applies.

I hope not, it's nice to have an isekai with more depth where the mc wasn't the best at absolutely everything, he is VERY good just not the absolute best.

I don't have too high hopes about it tho given he was trained by what amounts to a mythical being even Sera was surpised to hear about.

Honestly, It seems like she has just been craving a change to actually spar with someone without holding herself back. as soon as she realized he could keep up with her at all without her magic, she was ready to just go all out. I assume all the knights and the margraves son must be awful. UNless the margraves son is Abel. I think abel has to be someone important, the guild master keeps acting like it would be an political problem if abel dies.

Ryo thought this was JUST a sword fight, so to bring in magic wouldn't be sporting. He stuck to just swordsmanship while she added in magic to enhance her speed.

Can't decide who's worse her or Sceptic Wizard Girl, ice magic isn't even real, if ice really existed we would be able to see it.
