So Caroline wasn’t satisfied with getting off lightly after pushing Monica down the stairs so you compound the situation by poisoning her. Great 200 IQ play, dumbass. I mean what did you think would happen if you poisoned a student council member?

I genuinely think she was telling the truth when she said she didn't mean to poison Monica. She had just asked Monica for a favor, and the eye drops were already in the tea. Killing someone in public doesn't make sense for her, doing it after someone possibly just agreed to help you makes even less sense. She was also visibly surprised when Monica kept drinking the tea. Not to mention she probably wouldn't be putting it in her eyes if she knew it was a deadly poison. She was almost certainly just trying to make the tea taste bad so Monica wouldn't be able to finish it, but miscalculated wildly. She's clearly a bully, but I see no chance she actually intended to cause physical harm, let alone become a murderer.

Yea, the girls definetly aren't killers, they are just mildly incompetent noble ladies who believe they won't ever be held responsible, especially when they are picking on a commoner known to be abused and bullied at home. (or at least that's the cover story anyways) They just went way overboard with their "prank". would have made more sense to put salt in the tea instead of medicine lol. Would have gotten the same disgusting bitter taste without the poisoning.

The lethal dose of table salt is roughly 0.5–1 gram per kilogram of body weight.

Early on, the intoxicant will cause a strong feeling of thirst, followed by weakness, nausea, and loss of appetite. More severe symptoms ensue, including confusion, muscle twitching, and bleeding in or around the brain. Death results by the swelling of the brain against the skull.

I mean, yes, injesting salt directly can be lethal but in a world without an understanding of chemistry it makes for a more rational prank than eye drop medicine lol

How bout they just don't put poisonous substances they don't know the consequences of ingesting into someone elses drink? The same prank with salt could have lead to the same consequence. If MC weighs like 50kg, ingests like 20g of salt, could easily end up very very sick. You know those mean girls aint gonna be going easy on the salt, they'd be dumping that shit in. There's nothing inherently better with salt compared to some eye drops when they don't know shit about what they're FEEDING to someone else.

I imagine she knew it was harmful, maybe it might make her sick or something, but not to the extent of putting her life in danger
