Isabelle is amazing. Her character is the idealized version of the nobillity.

And if this was the payback the trio were planning, then it's pretty clear who threw away Monica's tea last episode.

The way she formally declared the ruin of another noble house with such nonchalance and at the same time as playing as a villainess has got to be the height etiquette. Truly a master of her craft.

Huh, that’s true. If it’s not the trio, then that leaves only Casey (or the other maids chatting behind them, but it’s probably unlikely). Monica didn’t write her name on the paper like Casey; she just folded it like an origami to mark it as hers. Meaning, no one except Casey knows that the tea is Monica’s. That’s… suspicious. Does that mean Casey befriended Monica with an ulterior motive? Oh man, if someone as fragile as Monica tasted another betrayal with her newfound friend, it could really destroy her…

I wonder if there's other hints and everything leads up to some big reveal. Another thing they mentioned early this episode was regarding the fake merchant intruders, the barrier around the academy should've worked, and it can only be modified by someone on the inside. All very suspicious.

Now that you mention it, why was Casey near the fake merchant in the first place? Their meeting location seems quite secluded (i.e., their surroundings are barren without any other people), but Casey is close enough to save Monica from the horse. Her positioning feels like she was… observing the fake merchant from afar.
